HIM (HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGER) :

Health information managers are referred as they are responsible for collecting, analyzing, securing of digital health records of patients in the hospitals, through understanding of modern technology of information, administrative management and clinical knowledge in the respective areas.

In some instances it will become tougher to give information of patient medical condition to third parties such as health insurance purposes, political parties and some other reasons. The disclosing of information to others is called as ROI (Release Of Information). Patient information should be released to other persons in willingness of patient and their family members. If I am in the situation of releasing information to requester, follow the disciplinary measures in order to prevent further complications.

* Obtain consent/ willingness from patient before going to any procedure

* Collect detailed history of requester who is asking patient information to protect private data of patient from hackers

* Consult to the medical representatives and higher authorities whether to release information or not

* Copy patient medical records in a secured data base for further references

* Safe guarding of medical data with high encrypted pass codes

Therefore, by practicing of all the above discipline measures it is easier to handle the situation in a easy way without any complications in the work.
