1)A motivator tone to be used here to encourage patient to avoid unhealthy food and health educate about the harmful effects of these types of foods for long run.

2)The role of the phlebotomist is not only to withdraw blood but to ensure to get rid of patient fear due to needle prick. This could be explained to him by diverting his mind to other subject,make a warm and pleasant communication.For example : A phlebotomist while withdrawing blood can say it is similar to a mosquito bite to make patient feel little comfortable

3)The first thing is to get rid off fear

Reassure the patient and create a positive energy for the patient

Explain completely about the need of the contrastvand its elimination rate from the body to win patient confidence.

Be with the patient throughout the procedure.
