1. The appropriate tone to use in this situation would be serious, as it is a serious case where the patient is not able to maintain his diet, and a diet is very important when it comes to obesity, diabetes and high blood pressure.

Example: We can explain by the serious health effects the fast food can have in the body. Explain how much of a calorie is present in a single cheeseburgers and how it is difficult to digest it and how it is accumulated in the body, and it is very difficult to get rid of them. We can provide an alternative diet which would be suitable for the patient.

2. 1.The patients should be provided comfortable position

2. Explain the procedure as to how you are going to draw the blood, and what all will be required while withdrawing the blood.

3. Provide reassurance that you have done it before and you are well trained, in other words gain patients confidence, maintain eye to eye contact.

4. Distract patients mind with good music and same interests like football or any other to discuss about.

5. Provide empathy, be compassionate.
