South beach diet refers yo low carbohydrate diet or food  which contains low glycemic index.

It has three phases. In the first phase for sbout 2 weeks a complete low carbohydrate food is given.This phase provides 15%_20% of calories from first phase .The second phase has 30%_35% of carbohydrates in the diet.

The foods like lean proteins, high fibre foods vegetables,low fat diary products, unsaturated fats.

The fruit,fruit juices,nuts,avacodas ,whole milk,refined sugar,coconut oil,honey ,grains,tuber foods,poultry, fatty foods are generally to becavoided or restricted.

Exercise is allowed during this diet because it will help yo burnout additional calorie from the body.
