Answer: The health behaviour smoking is important because it act as a measures to help the person to quit smoking. It includes that how much the person is tempted for smoking and the readiness to quit it. Such as the self efficiency that person is ready and accept to quit smoking with himself and he is also ready for the outcomes of quitting smoking. It also enables the person to stick to his decision and follow the instructions that can help him to quit smoking.

Smoking causes lungs cancer as well as many other disease. Although the smokers directly inhale the smoke, the effects of smoking on the environment as well as on the other person present there have adverse impact. Smoking causes diseases which are directly related to lung diseases such as COPD, lung cancer, emphysema etc.

The smoke of the cigarette destroy and kills the lung's cells that is alveoli tissues and hence the exchange of gases can't take place. The smoking also causes other diseases as lowers the absorption of iron in the body. People who smokes are generally at higher risk of developing cardiovascular diseases as when there will be insufficient supply of bills oxygen, the heart has to work hard hand hence it may cause myocardial infarction.
