The nursing process is important in delivering quality care. The five important steps in the nursing process are assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and Evaluation. These process helps to diagnose the patient accurately and to plan the treatment accordingly to meet the On-going needs of the patient and better outcomes. The nursing process helps the nurses to apply critical thinking skills in identifying the patient problem and plan to meet the unique needs of individuals patients. Only critical thinking skills can make the nurses to get a good ethical judgment. Critical thinking skills can make the nurses work independently and to acquire responsibility and accountability for their job. The step-by-step process makes maximum utilization of nurses knowledge and better outcomes of the patient. Nurses follow evidence-based criteria while implementing a plan and to evaluate accordingly. Thus the nursing process makes the nurses think through the clinical problem of the patient and provide effective care.
