Article:Health Disparities and Health Equity: The Issue Is Justice. Braveman et al. (2011) discuss disparities and and the consequences in health. Social disparities are a component of all disparities. Give an example of a group or population's social disparities, a) describing the group characteristics, b) why you think this group suffers from social disparities, and c) give suggestions of ways to reduce social disparity either in policy or programs.

Social disparity means social inequality . The resources are not distributed equally among the people due to certain reasons like caste ,creed ,colour , socioeconomic status etc .

a) One of the main group which is affected by it in India is The Dalits . They are considered to be the lowest of the lowest caste who earns their livelihood by cleaning toilets and beggiy because peole won't like them as they are considered as untouchable .

b) This group suffers from social disparity because they belong to this caste . These people are not allowed to work , to walk through the roads ,to study ,to have access to health care etc because they are Dalits .

c) The only solution to end this social disparity is with the government . They need to end up this caste system going on in many of the villages in India . Everyone should be given equal rights . These people should be helped by the government to upgrade themselves and make a mark by themselves by providing education , food , space to live etc and actions must be taken against those who treat humans as worse as below the animals like imposing fine , imprisonment etc . The main thing which the government should do is to erase out from the minds of people that there is difference between them on the basis of caste ,creed and colour .
