Lipoprotein means (lipo= lipid/fat, protein = chain of amino acids)a protein that contain a fat molecules in it. It is not a simple protein.

It has various functions in our body like transportation of hydrophobic contents to in or out of extracellular compartment.

It mainly carries cholesterol to the cell, in this a specific type of lipoprotein work is LDL(low density lipoprotein).

Mainly known Lipoprotein are HDL, LDL, VLDL.... etc
