ANSWER the leaf would be larger in shady wet condition.

the optimal leaf size depend upon the several factors such as

(1) leaf temperature

(2) water use efficiency

(3) transpiration rate

(4)heat and mass transfer

optimal leaf size in a given environment is the size yielding maximum water use efficiency.

the leaf size is large when the condition are warm or hot with low radiation or sun light .example - tropical forest.
