Ans. 2. Hanging drop technique is a type of wet mount (in which is drop containing experimental microorganism is placed in a microscopic slide) to observe the motility in bacteria or microbes.

At first, a toothpick is used to apply veselline at each corner of slide. The coverglass is handled by using corners carefully to avoid fingerprints. Then, a loop full of bacterial culture is placed at the center of cover glass.
