Scanning Electron microscope would greatly magnify a tiny 3-D structure. Scanning Electron microscope uses scattered electron beam to produce image of the object and the magnification is obtained by using electro-magnetic field. That is why we can get immense magnification unlike light and optical microscope tha uses light waves, which while traveling loses energy in the path and would not be able to give higher magnification and 3D image. And light and optical microscope use optical lenses system that is not very efficient to see the structure below 0.2 micrometer. In scanning electron microscope we can see structures as tiny as 10 A°.

The scattered electron in SEM, produce the image of the sample after the microscope collects and counts scattered electron.
