There have been other changes as well. In March of last year your consulting team billed $230,000 worth of business but in March of 2020, your consulting team only billed $185,000. Your sales team billed $175,000 in March 2019 and $165,000 in March 2020. In April 2019, consulting billed $255,000 and sales billed $195,000 but in April 2020, consulting billed $386,000 and sales billed $100,000. In May 2019 consulting billed $200,000 and sales billed $255,000 but in May 2020 consulting billed $400,000 and sales billed $750,000. Now the head of Human Resources, Minghui Foer, has asked you for help presenting this information to the board of directors in a report. You know that some appropriate visuals would help make this easier to understand. WORKING CAPACITIES OF STAFF

For visually representing the working capacities of different staff we have used a pie diagram. A pie diagram is generally used to represent the composition of something especially when some categorical data needs to be represented. The pie chart below categorizes the whole organization staff as per their different working capacities which has changed due to Covid -19. As per the chart, the janitorial team which constitutes 15% of the total staff is not working at all. About 75% of the total staff which includes both the Sales Team (45% of the staff) and the consulting team (30% of the staff) has been working remotely i.e. through online mode. It’s only the finance team which constitutes about 10% of the total staff, is still working physically in office but with a reduction in their actual working hours.

BUSINESS RESULTS

For visually representing the business sales billed by two different teams of the firm, we have used a column chart. A column chart is generally used to show and compare changes in a specific variable over a period of time in the form of vertical or horizontal bars.

In the column chart below, the X-axis shows the 3 months (March, April and May) in 2019 and 2020 respectively for which total sales have been billed by the two teams i.e. the consulting and the sales team. The Y-axis shows the value of total sales billed for the firm by the two teams. The statistics of the consulting team reveals that the business sales have dipped by about 20% in the month of March 2020 as compared to March 2019. However, as per the figures given by the sales team the dip is only about 6% for the same month.

Going by the figures for the month of April, both the team have shown drastically opposite results. As per the consulting team, the business grew by roughly 50%. On the other hand, the business as per the sales team dipped by roughly 50%.

Lastly in the month of May 2020, as per the consulting team the business grew exactly 100%, however as per the sales team the business was almost triple of what it was in May 2019.
