Once the critical path is found out using the critical path method, the following tools provide better view of the overall project plan and help in accomplising the final goal within time schedule and projected budget:

• Gantt Chart - This tool gives a visual representation of the beginning and ending dates of all the individual taks. The tasks along with timeline is displayed in a bar chart fashion, which helps in planning and execution of the individual tasks and the overall project.
• PERT (Program evaluation and review technique) - This tool incorporates the best, worst and most likely completion time of each task. This helps in planning the duration of each activity and overall completion time of the project keeping in mind the situational and contingency factors also.
• WBS (Work breakdown structure) - This tool helps in breaking down each task into smaller subtasks and proper monitoring and completion of them. The tasks and subtasks along the critical path are very important for timely completion of the overall project.
