Answer #1

METAPHASE-1 ANAPHASE-1 A А А X А А B n 6 8 Sn

METAPHASE-2 ANA PHASE - 2 n E E b ) d 3,4 A A ད+| B B བ བ བ ་ 8 8 R-1

Nondisjunction occurs when the sister chromatids fail to separate during Anaphase 2 of meiosis2. Nondisjunction can also occur between homologous chromosomes which fail to separate during Anaphase 1 of meiosis 1. Here, meiosis1 is normal, which starts with a diploid cell that gives two haploid cells at the end of meiosis1. Meiosis 2 begins with two haploid cells, where there's a nondisjunction of B chromosome and results in the formation of four haploid cells out of which two gametes are normal and one gamete has n+1 chromosomes and the other gamete has n-1 chromosome due to nondisjunction.

Simulate meiosis by drawing One pair of chromosomes and no crossing over Instructions: Set up your cell. The cell you start with should be: A diploid cell It should contain 1 pair of homologous chromosomes It should be in G1 of the cell cycle, before DNA replication occurs Be sure to show 2 genes that are both heterozygous . Go through the steps of meiosis. Be sure to show and label these in your pictures: Label homologous chromosomes and sister...

Simulate meiosis by drawing Two pairs of chromosomes with crossing over Assume that two of the genes are on chromosome 1, and one of the genes is on chromosome 2. Allow crossing over to occur between the two genes on the same chromosome. Also, are there multiple ways that the chromosomes could segregate to produce different results? Show them. please solve this asap thank you so much 1 Draw out the phases of meiosis for a (2n=4) germ line cell: Use red and blue to indicate ate the two sets of chromosomes aleat There should be two throughout the various phases-red will represent the maternal set and blue will represent the paterials alternate scenarios for how the homologous pairs could alian during metaphase. When applicable, bus pairs could alian during metaphase. When applicable, all of the phase drawings (pre-...
