The following are the things that can be done to increase cultural competence-
1- The cultural values and heritage of counselor's own culture are to be comprehended and any possibility of bias is to be avoided.
2- The societal and historical facets allied with cultures must be attepmted to be known by the counselors.
3- Mixing with people belonging to various races and ethnicities can also serve the purpose.
4- There are special and exclusive courses on Multicultural counselling that offer an insight into theory and practice, both. Such a course can prove to be useful.
