Why is Weber’s Law a challenge for green marketers?
Answer
Weber's law states that the amount of change, that needs to be noticed is related to how strong is the initial stimuli. People react and notice the change when they find a reason and a source that benefits them and stimulate them to purchase it.
Weber's law is a challenge for green marketers, because, those green marketers try to enhance their profitability, by portraying their products as more worthy and are less priced, by changing the composition of the products, it's packaging size, and other aspects. They claim to provide products with extra quantity, and at a discounted rate, but they use tricks and ways to make the product look bigger and of more quantity. Which is actually not true.
Green marketers use earth friendly materials, and when they offer their products, with more pure composition, they may charge high and have small packaging with less quantity products. Customers, might not be willing to spend more for getting less quantity, and may not consider the earth friendly products. Therefore, Weber's law is a challenge for green marketers to make their products high revenue generating, with increased prices and lesser quantity.
