a) Mitochondria, also known as "Powerhouse" of the cell are responsible for making ATP in a cell. Mitochondria are responsible for making ATP by means of substrate level phosphorylation in kreb's cycle and oxidative phosphorylation by means of Electron transport system.

b) Lysosomes, also known as "Suicidal bags" of the cell are responsible for breaking down old organelles and proteins. Lysosomes contain hydrolytic enzymes that work at a slightly acidic pH of about 5. These enzymes are responsible for breakdown of complex molecules such as carbohydrates, lipids and proteins into simpler monomers.

c) Ribosomal RNA are synthesized in nucleolus which appears as a dense area within the nucleus and contains the genes that encode rRNA.

d) Post-translational modification of proteins after they are synthesized occur in Endoplasmic reticulum and cisternae of Golgi apparatus. Post-translational modification, such as glycosylation and covalent modification, can take place in the cisternae of the rough endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi body.
