Answer #1

Given that, Mean = m = 25 weeks

Standard Deviation = SD = 3 Weeks

For 22 weeks,

Z value = (22 – m) / SD

= (22 – 25) / 3 = -1.00

Using Normal distribution table,

Probability (Z < -1.00) = 0.1587

For 28 weeks,

Z value = (28 – m) / SD

= (28 – 25) / 3 = 1.00

Using Normal distribution table,

Probability (Z < 1.00) = 0.8413

The probability that project will be completed between 22 and 28 weeks

= Probability (Z < 1.00) - Probability (Z < -1.00)

= 0.8413 – 0.1587

= 0.6826

= 68.26%
