Answer #1

Iwill be answering the first 4 questions as there are more than 4 :

(1)

Young Americans grew up with more exposure to the effects of global warming than their parents and grandparents. Perhaps it isn’t surprising then that polls find young adults are particularly concerned about global warming. A 2018 Gallup analysis found a “global warming age gap” in some beliefs, attitudes, and risk perceptions. For example, 70% of adults aged 18 to 34 say they worry about global warming compared to 56% of those aged 55 or older.

(2)

Things to do as a millennial to reduce carbon footprint :

  • Waste less food : Buying and consuming only the food you need is one of the easiest and most impactful ways to reduce carbon emissions
  • Eat less meat : Cutting down on meat consumption, particularly beef, is one of the most powerful steps individuals in nations like the U.S. can take to reduce their carbon footprint
  • Reconsider your transportation options : Opt for public transportation whenever possible, and bike and walk when you can
  • Cut out single-use plastic : Cut out single-use plastic items like grocery bags, straws (yes, straws), plates, etc.

(3)

MIllenials can move governments to action regarding climate change, as we have seen recently with the use of social media many activists have started movements and campaigns spreading awareness regarding the same which puts pressure on the governments and forces them to take action.

(4)

As of early 2017, the Earth had warmed by roughly 2 degrees Fahrenheit, or more than 1 degree Celsius, since 1880. That figure includes the surface of the ocean. The warming is greater over land, and greater still in the Arctic and parts of Antarctica.

The number may sound low. We experience much larger temperature swings in our day-to-day lives from weather systems and from the changing of seasons. But as an average across the entire planet and over months or years, the temperature differences get far smaller – the variation at the surface of the Earth from one year to the next is measured in fractions of a degree. So a rise of 2 degrees Fahrenheit since the 19th century is actually high.

If it keeps increasing at such a rate the earth may become inhabitable very soon.
