There are many ways that the nurse ensures that the client receiving palliative or hospice care to kept comfortable.

- Administration of opioid drugs to the pain management of the last stage cancer patient to relieve pain for some time and make comfortable during that time.

- Providing support or assistance in the daily activities of the patient with dementia at home by the nurse or caretaker to take care of the patient properly, maintain hygiene. It maintains comfort measures for the patient.

- The provision of spiritual support or praying with the family member and the patient together helps to promote comfortable to the patient.  

- Physiotherapy for the paralysis patient to reduce the contracture of the muscle. This will maintain or improve the quality of life or comfortable or reduce joint pain.
