7-8 Monohybrid cross is the breeding between parents which differ in one specific trait, so both are heterozygous at only one locus.It is used to study the pattern of inheritance in F1 and F2 offspring in a predictible way

Dihybrid cross takes place between parents that differ in two traits, so they are heterozygous for 2 different characters.One of them has dominant genes and the other one has recessive genes for both traits.

This cross is helpful for studying inheritance of dominant and recessive characters for 2 different traits, given you the chance of finding all possible genotypic combinations

9-10 Homologous chromosomes are 2 different copies of the same chromosome but with different origin, one maternal and the other copy has a paternal origin that pairs during meiosis. Both copies have the same genes in the same loci .

Chromatid sisters are identical copies formed by replication of 1 chromosome ( so they derived from one original

chromosome) Each copy ( chromatid) are joined together by a centromere. So, 2 chromatides are part of 1 chromosome

11-12 Complete linkage is the result of parental combination only and NO recombination . Occurs because the segregated traits are close together in the chromosome that they are segregated together it results in an independent assorment of the linked characters.

Incomplete linkage occurs when the loci of different traits recombinate during the formation of cross over between homologous chromosomes producing new combinations of genes
