Hi here is the solution for your question. I hope I could help you in future also.if anything is not clear to you please let me know before giving your valuable feedback.

I would like to improve that in the future

Thanks

Solution

I think It should be option d

Unsaturated fatty acids having lower melting point than that of saturated fatty acids because of the cis arrangement of double bonds present in the unsaturated fatty acids which resulted in  a bend in structure that responsible for irregular shape. Which decreases the intermolecular vandarwall force of attraction between the molecules ultimately results in the decrease in the melting point.

Example of unsaturated fatty acid is vegetable oil

Example of saturated fatty acid is butter.

I hope it will help you. If I missed anything please let me know before giving your rating.

Thanks
