The HIT steering committee should include all type of Stakeholders. Identifying the different types of stakeholders is a crucial part of EHR implementation. Both the institutional and community stakeholders should be included in the steering committee. Institutional members are the members at different levels of the organization whereas the community stakeholders are those of patients, families, policymakers, local health care members etc. The size of the committee depends on the size of the organization and the EHR implementation.
