1) Ecdysis is defined as the shedding of the old skin or we can say that casting of outer cuticle. Such event is found in insects and arthropods.
2)Torsion: it is defined as the rotation of visceral mass and matle upto 180° with respect to the head and foot dueing the larval development in gastropoda.
3)Hemocoel: The body cavity containing the circulatory fluid is known as hemocoel. It is found in arthropods.
4) Coriolis effect: The spins of earth on its axis generates coriolis force. The body moves toward right in northern hemisphere and towards left in southern Hemisphere because of coriolos effect.
5)Mesenchyme cells: Mesenchymal cells jave the capacity to regenerate in all kind of cells such as chonrocytes, osteocytes etc. These re found in poriferan.
6) Nematocysts: These are responsible for defense mechanism in the coelentrates. It is a special kind of cells bearing tentacle.
7) Semalparity: This is the reproductive characteristics of an individual. Such individual reproduce once in their life time.
8) Upwelling: It is the process occurs in the ocean. This leads to movement of cold water to the surface of sea and warm water to the bottom of sea.
9) Statocysts: This is the balancing organ present in the aquatic invertebrate. This organ is responsible for maintaining balance in the sea.
10) Hadal zone: It is the deepest region of an ocean and found at the depth of 6,000 to 11,000 metres.
