Area- or volume based survey: A typical technique for deciding volumes from cross segments is that of normal end regions. It accept that the volume between progressive cross segments is the normal of their end territories increased by the separation between them. This is communicated in the formula: V (Ft.3 ) = [A1 (FT2 ) + A2 (Ft2 )]/2 X L (Ft) In which V is the volume in cubic feet, A1 and A2 are the end territories in square feet of progressive areas and L is the length in feet between the segments. (The end territories will be isolated by 2 to concoct the normal end region). This equation is useful when A1 approaches A2 in both zone and setup, yet is possibly estimated when the cross segments have various territories. It is commonly acknowledged as close enough for figuring earthwork volumes.

Line transect survey: A line transect is completed by unrolling the transect line along the angle distinguished. The species contacting the line may be recorded along the entire length of the line (continuous sampling). On the other hand, the nearness, or nonappearance of species at each stamped point is recorded (systematic sampling).

Mark recapture method: The Mark-Recapture technique is used to appraise the size of a populace where it is unfeasible to tally each person. The essential thought is that you capture a modest number of individuals, put a harmless mark on them, and discharge them once more into the populace.

which method can produce the most accurate population data: mark-recapture method. The precision of this mark-recapture method lays on various suppositions being met. The assumptions include - Births can still happen and an exact estimation can even now be made if an equivalent number of unmarked individuals leaved.

Would you agree to the statement on random sampling methods. Please explain why. In probability samples “each population element has a known (non-zero) chance of being chosen for the sample.” (StatTrek 2020). Some examples of probability samples are, simple random sampling, stratified sampling, cluster sampling, multistage sampling, and systematic random sampling. Simple random sampling is the population and sample consists of “N” objects, and an example is when people play the lottery. Stratified sampling is based on some type of...

The Census Bureau groups data on households into census tracts, where each census tract has a total population of about 4,000 residents. Census tracts should be divided so that the households in the census tracts share certain characteristics, such as economic status. Even though most tracts are around 4,000 residents, there is some variability, which is the focus of this lab. In practice, census tracts usually have a population between 1,200 and 8,000 people. I just need help with the...
