Answer 15: “A,B and C” Inclusions in the nucleus, multinucleated giant cells (syncytia), inclusions in the cytoplasm.

Explanation: Cytopathic effects are the changes caused by the infecting virus in the cell morphology. The virus during infection completely takes over the cell’s enzymes and synthesizes its own molecules. In the process, it can form the inclusion bodies which are viral replication by products, or host cell’s damaged organelles or structures. During infection the virus can join the adjacent cells and form multinucleated giant cells.

The formation of tumor cells will take place only when the host cell survives and virus changes the genome of the host cell in such a way that the cell loses control over the cell division and becomes cancerous. Hence it cannot be considered as a Cytopathic effect.
