Answer #1

Ans- Some of the reasons this person might have low motivation are given below-

  • No meaningful work-Employees will be demotivated when they see that they are not growing in their career. The work does not seem to be challenging work and they do not find any excitement in doing their work. They just come to the office for the sake of showing that they are present in the office.
  • Job insecurity- When employees feel that their job is insecure because the company for which they work for is unstable they they get demotivated and try to find job elsewhere.
  • No recognition- When employees are not given value for their work they are demotivated and this demotivation will cause harm to their performance in their current work as they will not give best to the work they are doing and therefore it is important to recognize the employees work and give recognition in the form of rewards.
  • Overwork- If an employee is given excess work then they are likely to lose motivation for that work even if they are overpaid for the excess work because it takes away their personal life from them and sometimes even causes health problems and they might lose interest in their job because of all these.

As the manager of that particular employee firstly i would have to identify the reason for their demotivation by talking with them personally and then i would find ways to motivate them so that they do not lack interest in their job.
