Ans all vegetables, and whole grains etc contain complex sugars hence potato contains complex sugars.

Complex sugars contain more than 1 sugar units. Eg disaccharides.

Simple sugars are monosachharides and reducing sugars like glucose, fructose, sucrose, lactose etc. So food items such as glucose, apple which contains fructose, milk which contains lactose all contain simple sugars.

Also results for benedicts test

Blue solution - no reducing sugar

Green solution - traces of reducing sugar

Orange - small amount of reducing sugar

Brick red ppt. - high amount of reducing sugar.

Results for iodine test.

Positive result shows dark blue black solution and negative would be yellow or brown solution.
