The present scientific agreement on climate change is that current warming indicates a stable and long-term trend, and this trend is largely human-caused. The serious damage may be happened in the near future if steps are not taken to stop the trend. We all agree about that global surface temperatures have increased in recent years and that is mainly caused by human activities and greenhouse gases emitted from human activities. There are many political debates about the cause of climate change that include the reasons for the increase trend of global temperature, whether the warming trend is not able to balance or exceed normal climatic variations, and whether human activities have a significant role to create this trend. Scientists confirmed that the current trend of warming exists and it is ongoing, and human activity is the only cause for that. Many issues that are accepted by scientific community including responsibility of human activities for global warming are still remain the subject of political debate, and politicians are at denial mode. Politicians and some general public also dismiss the theory that is categorised by academics and scientists for global climate change. Many of the critics also disagreed, in whole or part, with the scientific agreements regarding other issues such as that are relating to environmental risks including ozone depletion, passive smoking and DDT.
