Instead of saying participant 1 has 8 shoes, we would say 8 shoes are owned by 1 participant, 13 shoes are owned by 2 participants, 11 shoes are owned by 3 participants, and 9 shoes are owned by 4 participants. This is because we need to form a problem. The question and data you have won't help us in creating a random variable.
