You have been hired to create a sales plan for a new mail order company that will specialize in brand-name sports shoes for men and women. The shoes are priced below those in department stores.

Because the main problem with buying shoes from a mail order company is that customers may have trouble ordering the correct size, you have to devise a system that will make it easy for customers to return items that do not fit.

Write a proposal letter that explains your research-based plan to meet the specific needs of this company’s audience and also persuades that audience to use this particular company and its products.

The letter itself might be one page (perhaps a bit more), but it would be wise also to include a mock-up of an ad (or whatever you are recommending). Remember that your recommendation should be backed by research.

Hi Sir,

Hope this mail finds you all well.

On the onset I would like your good self for giving us an opportunity to work alongside your quickly emerging organization and look to devise a solution to the queries as presented.

We would like to bring up this proposal and to your attention that the way we would like to see the firm operate going forward. We would like to propose to start with an extensive advertising campaign which will put our presence firmly in the consumers mind, however along with such advertisement we would like to add in few lines which can potentially help us in assisting the customers whom we wish to provide the best of the services.

we would like to recommend that we use some of the below phrases in our campaign and try to device a location based advertising using bill bards and bus hoarding at various shopping crowded markets such as a local market. The phrases which we can use are:

  • Now shop from the comfort of your home with more savings and no questions asked returns.
  • Shop as you want, whenever you want, for whomsoever you want right from your couch with more savings and no questions asked returns.
  • No hassle of running from places to places and utilize the time saved with your near and dears with more savings and no questions asked returns.
  • Why run around to shop for shoes when you can have it directly at home, now shop with us with more savings and easy return policy.
  • Spend time running around and playing sport, not on looking shoes, shop with us with more savings and no questions asked returns.

As various studies have proved over time that once a message is repeatedly put across a group of users they tend to have a look at it with many perceptions but if in case it has something in common it have more possibility to be retained in subconscious mind by the user. Basically the key which we would be focusing in all our campaign and across various mediums will be to focus on easy returns so that the people who are avers to the idea of trying shoes from a mail order company should have it back of their mind that there is no questions asked returns policy which will make it a hassle free experience.

Another feature which we would like to propose and to be included in these adverts is the cost factor, which obviously we would have an edge over the departmental stored and will essentially give the users an incentive for trying to buying from us.

For actually returning the product we can have an on call feature and say that the product can be returned if in case size does not fit or any other quality issue within 5 days of the order delivery.
As we don’t want our customers to be too confused so we advert it as no question asked return policy which will not only assist us in getting more customers but also assist the end user to benefit from cost savings and ease of shopping.

We hope that these will help you in making an informed decision and assist you in your next decision.

    Best regards                                                                                                                                       Dated:
