fats are needed in our diet. Fat doesn't make direct in our body. Excess calories make us fat. Its all about the amount of intake. Everything is good in moderate amount. In general, the fats are used for different aspects of our body for the different physiological process. Some essential points are described below how fat is useful and can't avoid it.

  • It helps in the synthesis of steroid hormone as the main component is cholesterol.
  • The main component of Cell membrane (phospholipid bilayer), which act a semi-permeable membrane.
  • Helps in maintaining healthy glowing skin.
  • The proper function of the brain and nervous system (myelin sheath of neurons of CNS are made up of fat).
  • helps in transportation of fat-soluble vitamins.
  • Essential fatty acid is required for growth and development of cell function.
  • Adipose tissue, a fat storing tissue, help in conservation of heat being deposited under the skin.
  • Last but not the least a source of energy.
