Accountability on the job in layman's language means to be responsible for the duties that are being assigned to him/ her by the organization. In other words, it means that you the person should give their 100 percent to fulfill their task or duty assigned so that organizational goals could be achieved and the organization can work on their mission effectively.

Now being on the Job is a thing that comes up with responsibility, ownership, and initiative. A person working for an organization not just responsible for his own career growth but is high and more likely to be responsible for the growth of the organization too.

While the accountability is being responsible for the certain task it also includes taking up the initiative to make new plans and create a route map so that organizational goals can be achieved with proper management. The sense of ownership to complete a task or achieve a target also lies in being accountable to the job either to your own self or to the organization for that you work.

Accountability on the job can include the following :

1. Contribute equally to the team if you are included in a project or being appointed as a  leader on some project.

2. Treat your colleagues properly while at workplace maintain professionalism

3. Meet the deadlines of the projects that are being assigned

4. Take the initiative to plan and manage the Work of the organization so that you may be seen as a leader for future perspective.

5. Take up ownership of task completed by you if there arise any problem always be ready to rectify it with a smile on your face and a helping attitude

6. Support your Colleagues and co-workers in completing their work also if you can provide any technical assistance provide this will add up to your skill development

Henceforth, being Accountable on the Job covers all the aspect of the duties and responsibilities that one have bestowed upon by the other party trusting the ability and skills to perform the related tasks and assignments. It is also one of the main areas of study of management that leads to the success of an organization and an individual both.
