The E.Coli is a bacterium which is able to live in the intestine of humans where most of the strains of E.Coli are harmless as they are part of normal microflora of the lower intestine. If these strains live in the stomach, it is a harmless strain and can be classified as part of normal microflora of the gut. They have a symbiotic relationship with their host where they benefit the host through production of vitamin K2 and also prevents pathogenic and harmful bacteria from colonizing in the gut. E.Coli is a type of gram negative and facultative anaerobic bacteria and is basically classified as coliform bacterium.
