Management has often been describe as a universal process, meaning the basics of management are transferable and applicable in almost any environment. Do you believe a good manager in a bank could be equally effective in a college or university? Explain your reasoning.

1st part:

Yes, the good bank manager can definitely be equally effective if the responsibility is given to serve in a college or university. The manager generally gets the position by serving many years with other different positions in the bank organization. Through this tenure to reach the final designation in the bank, all processes are well learned and known in depth. It becomes very advantageous and beneficial to the manager for structuring the bank in the proper format. While holding or serving the designation of manager, if an opportunity is given to serve at college or university it can be expected that the bank manager can effectively manage the entire task.

2nd part:

Reasoning:

Almost at any organization, the pattern of management is completely the same if the processes of maintaining are known accurately. The working format is different but the work measuring to complete the task and keeping the stability in performing or engaging in the activities are the same. In the bank, the manager interacts with the staffs as well as the customers for ensuring with all the resolving activities that should be performed in full force and no work should be kept pending under any circumstances. The manager handles several other departments and also deals with the administration work to maintain the process functional with obtaining effective results.

If the manager gets the opportunity to serve the role at college or university, it can also be easily performed. The managerial part consisting of the staff monitoring, student dealings, and other important dealings of internal as wells as external matters related to administration. If the manager is actively proficient, it would be easier to resolve issues or demands that generally arise from the students or employees end. The role is different but the process of maintaining the standard is the same at both the organizations. Therefore, the manager handling the responsibilities in the bank also holds the capability to handle the college or university responsibilities correctly and effectively.
