Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) is a technique which consisting of a questionnaire of 21 questions to test the anxiety level of an adult who is 17 years of old or above.The questions in the test asks about common sympton of anxiety experienced by the adult in the past weeks.Each question is awarded a score between 0 -3 depending upon the answer.

With the help of overall scores of the test we can determine the minimal to severe levels of anxiety.

Normally mothers of premature babies hospitalized in neonatal intensive care unit mostly suffer from various levels of depression and anxiety symptoms.

So in order to diagonose the severity of anxiety symptoms experienced by the patient, BAI is highly reliable.
