Then they will store all these details in an index which can be served to searchers on the web. Now these contents will have rank based on the relevant data and the search patterns. So the more the website content is relevant to the search pattern or params, the higher the chances it will come in the front pages of search engines.

Now new websites will be very low rank because of unfinished crawlers ,no re-direction from external websites , or complex navigation in website making crawlers somehow ineffective in indexing the website contents.
