People buy something they cannot see or touch mainly due to two reasons, i.e they are convinced with the features and they have expectations with it. When people are convinced that a particular item or service would have the features they were looking for, they buy it. Similarly, they buy such an item or service as they have certain expectations from it to fulfill their needs. As managers, we can manage that motivation by understanding the needs of such people, and subsequently offering items or services which match their needs and able to meet their expectations.
