1) Introduction - Creative problem solving (CPS) is a way of using your creativity to develop new ideas and solutions to problems. The process is based on separating divergent and convergent thinking styles, so that you can focus your mind on creating at the first stage, and then evaluating at the second stage.

2) Creative Problem Solving in Global Organizations -

    The first step is self-awareness.
    Detach yourself from the problem.
    Use a framework, a system, to guide your thinking.
    Show empathy.
    Promote diversity of point of views- avoid group think.
    Focus on the right input and stimuli.
    Expand your own knowledge and experience.

3) Methodological Approaches to Problem Solving -

    Identify the issues. Be clear about what the problem is.
    Understand everyone's interests.
    List the possible solutions (options)
    Evaluate the options.
    Select an option or options.
    Document the agreement(s).
    Agree on contingencies, monitoring, and evaluation.

4) Paradigm-Breaking Techniques -

In essence a group of individuals from an organization are invited to browse the pictures and see if they can relate the symbolism of whichever pictures take their fancy to their own organization. Through subsequent group discussion in which they share their own experiences of the pictures, they are able to create a group vision for the company.

5) Example of Methodological Approaches to Problem Solving & Paradigm-Breaking Techniques in our workplace :

  1. Define the business goal, in a SMART way.
  2. Identify the Outcome Indicators - the key measures of success.
  3. Understand the Drivers and Relationships.

Creative Problem Solving Leads to Organizational Innovation. Creative problem solving is a method of approaching change within the organization. It usually involves a team approach, because people within the workplace are empowered to participate in the change process when looking for creative solutions.

Creative problem solving (CPS) is a way of solving problems or identifying opportunities when conventional thinking has failed. It encourages you to find fresh perspectives and come up with innovative solutions, so that you can formulate a plan to overcome obstacles and reach your goals.

7) Conclusion :

Problem-solving is the process of observing what is going on in your environment; identifying things that could be changed or improved; diagnosing why the current state is the way it is and the factors and forces that influence it; developing approaches and alternatives to influence change; helps in making decisions .
