According to me, yes because these products are socially harmful for the individual as well as the society. These sin products include Tobacco, Alcohol, pornography etc which causes social evils in the society. If government put the restrictions on the advertisements of such sin products then there would be many benefits for that.
for example- Reducing the consumption of Tobacco and alcohol would improve the health of the society,
there are many cases in which many families has suffered pain cause of tobacco and alcohol consumption. Pornography has led to change the pyschology of young minds.Most young generations cause or suffered sexual abuses.
putting restrictions and increasing Taxes on such sin products, government can improve the society. we know that this would take a time but if done properly then society of that country would have less crimes and there will be no social evils.
Advertisement influences and changes the perception of consumer who buys these sin products. Government support those advertisements which have theme of stop the consumption of sin products and restrict those advertisements which supports the consumption of sin products.
