Which of the following point mutations would have little or no effect on cellular function? Select all that apply.

a. mutation from AUA to AUG

b. mutation in exon

c. mutation in intron

Answer #1

The following mutation that have little or no effect are:

Mutation in introns because these are non coding region

Mutation in UUA to UUG because both Codon code for amino acid leucine.

Mutation from CUC to AUU because CUC code for leucine and AUU code for isoleucine and both amino acid have same physio chemical characterstics.

Hence, option
