1. Implied consent is taken by behavior as the patient is unconscious and in life-threatening condition. It is limited to only checkups, and diagnosis. Patient does not have decision-taking capacity.

Informed consent is taken when patient is given full information about risks, benefits of the specific treatment and other alternative methods of the treatment. Patient must have decision-taking capacity for the informed consent. It is important for surgical procedures.
