Hurricane Katrina is a type 5 category which caused severe damage in Florida and Louisiana on 25 August 2005.It caused damage to both infrastructure and to human life over 1200 people died because of it.
It impacted both hospitals and community.It destroyed hospitals.And several people are unable to get treatment for their conditions and which result in death.
And mostly there is struggle to provide basic healthcars to people during the hurricane and suprisingly it is a struggle still to provide care after 18 months the hurricane struck the place.
Katrina destroyed several systems which provides the necessary supplies to hospitals to function which caused less resources and people who are already admitted and those who injured caused the shortage of resources in which turn effected the care.
Steps include.
The hospital should always have emergency resources so they can provide treatment.
The people should have been alerted.
