Employees are inspired when their leaders are empowered to make good and thoughtful decisions. They respect leaders taking calculated risks, not those merely serving as another layer of management- an additional go-between that stunts growth and opportunity in them and trust decreases, especially when their poor making patterns don't change.
Six reasons why leaders make bad decisions:
1. Relying too much on past experience.
Leaders tend to rely on past experience that seem useful, but is actually sometimes dangerous we always talk about how important experience is!
2. Addicted to corporate politics.
Political motivations make it difficult to make objective decisions and manage the core responsibilities at hand. Those leaders have fallen victim to the political trap loose their identity and get stuck into other people's agendas and motives.
3. Lack clarity of purpose.
Clarity of purpose allow you to make decisions that are true and consistent with the mission at hand. When purpose becomes disrupted, you loose trust with your instincts and begin to make decisions without right dependencies and resources you need to make Good decisions.
4. Mismanaging resources.
Leadership isn't just about motivating people and inspiring teams , it also requires you to know the tools and resources that are available and need to be acquired to compete.
5. Don't see the opportunity.
Wide angle ,circular visions make the leaders proficient as anticipating crisis and managing change before circumstances force their hand.
6. Don't trust themselves to Lead.
Leaders that don't trust themselves enough become desperate and make abrupt decisions. They don't trust about the consequences when they make their decisions for the wrong reasons.
