The location of transgene A in a different position in the yeast genome can be explained through the effects of gene expression. In general, gene expression is affected by chromatin structure. So, the insertion of transgenes in the regions of euchromatin would make the chromosome to express more efficiently. It is less capable or less effective when these transgenes are inserted in the regions of heterochromatin.
