a. Autocratic leadership is a style of leadership characterized by individual control over all decisions and little input from group members. Typically, autocratic leaders make choices based on their ideas and judgments and rarely accept followers ' advice. Autocratic leadership requires a group's absolute, authoritarian control.

b. In management styles, however, authoritarian leadership has its place, the days of this one-style work are long gone. After incorporating contextual leadership and transformative leadership concepts, it is widely considered that this style is just one of many in your styles toolbox. Each method of leadership has its strengths and weaknesses and must be used when it is called upon by the situation. The autocratic style may be more dangerous than beneficial for the long term, but sometimes you have to do stuff. In the following scenarios, use more of a directing, authoritarian style: When a task is urgent and needs to be completed quickly, with little time to think and plan As in the Situational Leadership Model, use this style when skills are in short supply and people need to be guided with clarity and structure through a task or tasks.
Where the margin for error is high.
Strict rules can keep people out of the way of harm when conditions are dangerous.
However, one thing to remember; if your team is not skilled in specific tasks, do not resort to a long-term authoritarian approach. Find ways to teach them, coach them and mentor them, so you can do more delegation and less guidance.

c. While there has been a sharp decline in number and appreciation of the number of authoritarian leaders, there are also situations and circumstances where authoritarian leadership is effective and desirable. For groups where agreement is not easily reached due to a high diversity of team members or a community that will only work together for a short time, the authoritarian leader immediately sees what needs to be done and who is best suited for it. Also suitable for places where authority is desirable, such as in the army or prisons, is this leadership style. It is therefore self-evident that it is necessary to determine which leader is appropriate for each team and each task
