In completing your health management degree, you will acquire a number of competencies that will enable you to work in the healthcare sector. In your own words identify two competencies you expect to master, the level at which you expect to have mastered these competencies, and the behaviors associated with each competency. As a part of Health Mnagement student i would love to work on these two areas.

1. As a health care staff among patients
2. As a supervisor that can help to detect the disease among people.

As a health care staff among patient and the various duties that are included are

• Assess the general condition of the patient.
• Check the vital signs of the patient to obtain base line data of the patient.
• Collect the history of the patient which includes the identification data, personal history, family history, past medical history, socio economic history,present medical history of the patient,any past surgical history.
• Do the physical examination of the patient which includes four methods that is Inspection, Auscultation, Palpation and percussion.
• Based on the physical assessment and history collection plan care of the patient.
• The complaints of the patient is used to plan care through the formulation of Nursing process.
• Nursing process includes assessment, nursing diagnosis, goal, nursing interventions, implementations and evaluation of the care.
• If the care has not benefited the patient then change the nursing interventions to get positive feedback.
• Administer the medications to the patient as per the doctors' prescription.

As a Supervisor the duties are

• Monitor the environment of the patient.
• Ask the patient if he or she is comfortable.
• Look out for any factors that can cause illhealth or discomfort to the patient.
• Check for any factors that lead to nosocomial infection that is the hospital acquired infection among patients.
• Follow the aseptic technique while rendering care to the patients.
• Follow universal precaution while providing care to the patients.
• Check out the level of improvement of the patient with all the care given to the patient.
