1)Some of the ways to help the LGBT population in the school are

  • Assessing the student for any suicidal thought because majority of adolescents have two options to the aftermath either a positiveness or a negativeness. Usually the negativity overweighs them.
  • The students parents are the one who has to explained about the issue and this will be the life changing support to the coming out students to face the real world.
  • Making sure the equal oppurtunity ,support is provided to them
  • the school staff has to b educated about it
  • Provide culturally competent safe confidential care
  • Recognise health risks
  • Promote student led LGBT straight alliance and other clubs to support the school personals to improve the school community.
  • Encourage the use of gender neutral forms,changing space and bathrooms
  • reduce stigma and assess for safe environment

2)Some of the measures the public health nurse can do to reduce disparity of LGBT in community are as following

  • Health education and creating awareness about their rights of dignity and respect in the society
  • Improve the cultural competence
  • Provide family support of the LGBT individual
  • Insist the importance of ending violence and discrimination to public
  • Use inclusive and gender neutral languages
  • Convey respect and provide welcoming environment in case of hospital visit.
  • Use the appropriate tools to know the extent of disparities and ways to sort it.
  • Investigate mental and physical health of the people and supporting them
