As a medical Assistant , ethical considerations are influenced by so many factors , such as culture, religion , upbringing , individual values and beliefs . These factors shape our ethical views and impact ethical decisions that influence our professional career as a medical assistant.
2 :- The five personal ethics that affect our professional ethics as a medical assistant are
1. Quality versus quantity of life.
2. Freedom versus control.
3. Truth telling versus deception.
4. Empirical knowledge versus personal beliefs .
5. And finally distribution of resources.
3 :- Professional ethics clearly indicate that the healthcare professionals primary responsibility is to the patient. Most health care professionals prefer to work in their accustomed settings with peers they know . But in order to fulfill the ethical responsibility to the patient . However , an ethical tension arises when the public good is potentially harmed in circumstances where the individual patients best interests are being served.
4 :- It should be apparent that codes do not carry the force of law . In essence , codes and guidelines are intend to provide guidance for professionals , collectively and individually , in their relationships with their clients ,colleagues ,co workers and with the public. Maintaining honestyvwill help to prevent from any ethical dilemmas about lying for a a personal or business gain , if the personal cost is not worth the business gain , leave the situation if possible and get some one else addignedato the project so you are not involved in the end result. This keeps your business and personal feelings separate as much as possible.
