please critique this post and ask one question regarding this post:

I define privacy as allowing a person to tell you or whom ever their intimate issue when they are ready. Allowing them to speak outlouad about it when their ready. Allowing them to accept the problem when they are ready. Not forcing a person to speed up their acceptance to a problem. Having the patience to be there and support a person letting them be without pressure. Privacy is simply giving someone space. For me privacy is a moral issue because you need to allow people to deal with their problems big or small. Without pressure and allowing them to vent. Not telling others their issues and problems without their consent. There are cases in public health that has violation of privacy with HIPPA being a law in health care. Medical professionals should not be discussing any patient information by anyone besides the direct staff working with this patient or point of contact for the patient. We all should respect patient privacy and not allow others to invade anyones privacy.

In health care settings, privacy is considered as the basic right of a client. It simply says that the client have the right to decide to whom, when, and to what extend their health information ( personal and medical ) can be disclosed.

In this post, it gives different faces to privacy, such as giving a space to someone, not telling a stranger any information without their consent and so on. When it comes to medical profession, HIPPA violation is a big threat in case of privacy, which can happen as a result of various issues for example, when employee disclose the information of a patient, mishandling of medical records , social media and lack of training.  Therefore , i agree with the statement that their are still violation and the medical professional should be more cautions about it.

However, the statement "allowing them to accept the problem when they are ready'' is not related to privacy, because it is not allowing them to accept the consequences. Hence , privacy is sharing the information such as medical diagnosis, treatment plan, medication, health insurance, physical and mental health issues, records with another person in the medical profession or not.

The question that you can ask regarding this post is :

1) How can we protect the patient right to privacy ?

2) What happen if HIPPA rule is violated ?
